London Scene- Music / Actors / Fashion

LONDON HAS THE BEST SUMMER MUSIC SCENE:

Tame Impala, The Killers, The Kills, Paloma Faith, Deathcab For Cutie, The Strokes, The Black Lips, Kasabian, Muse, Friendly Fires, Chemical Brothers, Taking Back Sunday, Morrisey, Dream Theatre, Metallica, Weezer, Rod Stewart, Bon Jovi, Motorhead, Coldplay, Bright Eyes, Bon Iver, Iron & Wine, The Flaming Lips, The Wombats, Scissor Sisters and the list goes on...

Every where we go there are festival posters and all the shops play such better music than the U.S. like the Rolling Stones, Flight of the Conchords, La Roux, Rhianna, The Kills, etc.

Techno and dance are bigger here too. I'm so tired of R&B / hip hop consuming American radio.

SMALL ACTING COMMUNITY / SMALL TOWN:

It's much easier to see theatre productions and sitings at stations of your favorite celebs! Noel Fielding was spotted at Julian Barrat's Young Vic performance at the Dominion Theatre sporting a cape a few days ago- and yesterday Noel was spotted at Waterloo Station! Bill Nighy lives near hear and some other ginger actor as well, Charlie says. David Tennant and Catherine Tate will be in Much Ado About Nothing- and we're seeing Rory (Arthur Duvall from Doctor Who) in the Dr. Faustus production at the Globe. The group even saw Jimmy Carr at the BBC Studios right before we arrived! It's so easy to see celebs and fabulous people here!

BEST FASHION:

It's colder here so everyone can layer up- there are tennis shoes here and there but mostly dark flats or boots (a lot of Chelsea Boots in Camden Town!) are the trends! Scarves and Shag hair seems to be the style for both men and women here. Top Shop is more amazing than I imagined and Top Man has the neatest scarves and satchels.
